In downtown San Francisco soon after 11 a.m. Thursday morning, many Google representatives—as a team with staff from the web goliath's workplaces around the globe—assembled to challenge how Google has taken care of inappropriate behavior claims. The walkout pursued a New York Times report that Google had discreetly given a $90 million leave bundle to previous official Andy Rubin after a partner blamed him for sexual intimidation and Google discovered her case valid.
Rubin has called the claims "a smear crusade." Google CEO Sundar Pichai on Thursday stated, "Minutes like this demonstrate we didn't generally take care of business thus we are focused on improving the situation."
